Introduction of Master Shi Xu (Dao Name: Shi Xu, English name: Michelle)
Master Shi Xu，is well-educated and also accredited with Chinese Kungfu (martial arts) qualifications. She holds professional academic qualifications, including MBA (UK), LLB (China Tsinghua University), CPA (USA) and CMA (USA). She worked in the capacities of GM, DGM, CFO, Director of Business Development, In-house Legal, mergers and acquisitions for large-scale multinationals for years.
Master Shi Xu has practiced Chinese kungfu for over ten years, starting from Shaolin and Jin Wu kungfu, then determinedly gave up her professions but focusing on Taichi and nourishing life practice. Among those years, four years were trained on a full-time basis by the bearers in Taichi, birthplaces in China – Wudang Mt and Chenqigou. Master Shi Xu’s story has been reported by HK, China and overseas media widely, including: Hong Kong Journal, Apple Daily News, Sing Tao Daily News, Now TV, Viu TV, Lisa Living Style Magazine, HK Magazine, Song News; China CCTV, China News Service, Gui Zhou TV, Fu Quant TV, Wubai Economic TV, Chenjiagou Wan County TV, Sports News; and The Moving Visuals (Singapore), MediaCorp Suria (Singapore), etc.
Master Shi Xu is an orthodox inheritor of the 15th generation of Wudang Sanfeng Sect, a disciple of the 14th generation Bearer, Taoist Zhong Yun Lung (Refer to RTHK “Kungfu Legend-Wudang”), also learned from Zhong’s senior student, Taoist Chen Shi Xing. Master Shi Xu is also an orthodox inheritor of the 16th generation of Wudang Xuanwu Sect, a disciple of the 15th generation bearer, Taoist Tian Liyang; as well as a successor of the Bearer of Huashan Wan Yuan Internal Alchemy Sect, Taoist Su Huaren . She is also an orthodox inheritor of the 20th generation of Chenjiagou Chen Style Taichi, a disciple of the 19th generation of the direct lineage of the 19th generation Bearer, Master Chen Xiao Wang (Refer to RTHK “Kungfu Legend – Practical Taichi) , as well as a successor of the 19th generation of direct lineage Master Chen Xiao Xing.
Master Shi Xu is an Examiner and an Instructor of the Chinese Wushu Duan Wai (Martial Arts Ranks) , Chinese Wushu Association in Chen Style Taichi, Yeung Style Taichi and Bugua Palm, accredited with Level-6 qualification. She is also a Level-1 Wushu Umpire of the Chinese Wushu Association, a Level-1 Martial Arts Master of Henan Province of China, a Taichi Coach of Jiao Zuo City of Henan Province, a Traditional Wushu Coach of the Wushu Union of China/HK, etc. She is awarded about 20 gold medals or judges in large and major world, international, national/provincial or HK Chinese Martial Arts Competitions.
Shi Xu Taichi & Nourishing Life Academy is founded by Master Shi Xu. The Academy was awarded with “THE BEST TAICHI AND QIGONG TEACHING” in the election of “The Outstanding Brand 2016-17” by media, PCCW and Yellow Pages. Master Shi Xu speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and English. She has been teaching Wudang Kungfu (Taichi, Qigong, Internal Alchemy and Wushu), Chen Style Taichi and Chinese Martial Arts Ranks Exam in China and HK for years. The Taichi and Wushu courses taught in our academy include: movement, breathing and Qi circulation, application and principle of the movement.
