C06. Wudang Nourishing Life Practice –  Sleeping Practice

(2 months, 8 lessons)

To nourish life through internal alchemy and do practices through sleeping. The practice is to use the biological features of human being to take rest through sleep so as to achieve life nourishment, internal alchemy and lead a healthy and happy life. It is obviously good to fight tiredness, improve sleep deficiency and incongruous qi-blood. Practicing this technique would clam oneself and gather Qi. Thus, the practitioner would instantly fall into deep sleep and enter a worry-free state of mind. This helps to enhance the worry-free state and recovery of various systems of the body, increase metabolism, clear the unnecessary memory and release the emotional pressure. Most illnesses are caused by unsmooth breathing, incongruous spirit and obstructed qi-blood. Long term practice of this sleeping technique would prevent ones from illness and smooth the qi-blood circulation, so the practitioner would become energetic and vigorous. The technique includes mind training, incantation, postures, and a series of methods and movements of pre-, post- and in-practice, as well as some specific items. It aims at entering a particular mood of internal alchemy and achieving longevity.
