This is an important section of authentic Wudang Taichi Boxing system. In the old days, grand master SangFeng combined the Life Nourishing methods (Breathing, Guiding flow, Dandao丹道, etc.), order of nature (Heaven, Earth, Water, Fire, River, Mountain, Wind, Thunder), Bagua八卦 (Qian乾heaven, Kun坤 earth, Kan坎water, Li離fire, Dui兌lake, Zhen震thunder, Xun巽wind, Gen艮mountain); inspired from the rhythm of nature and developed Fundamental TaiChi Eight Methods ward-off掤, rollback捋, squeeze擠, press按, grab採, split挒, elbow strike肘, shoulder strike靠, fit into four cardinal directions (north, east, south, west and center) and matched Wuxing 五行 (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth); embodied with limbs (march forward, move backward, turn left, whirl right, stand still). This is the Eight Methods, Five Steps and Thirteen Forms. During exercising, use will-power to guide Qi, use Qi to build the form, fuse internally and externally, move fluently. This cannot be described literally, a treasure of longevity, ladder to a higher level of Taichi. This can only be felt by the followers during practice, ascended to the palace of Taichi gradually.
