Course Description
Wudang Xuanwu Boxing, which is one of the boxing skills of Liangyi series, is the representative of Wudang’s internal school boxing. Taichi is the harmony of Yin and Yang, Liangyi is the division of these two. The naming of the boxing, Liangyi, is based on its motions of both fast and slow, forceful and pliable. Each motion has its advantages. The boxing specializes in practicing the coordination of hands, eyes, body, forms, footwork and Huanyuan force (explosive force and bouncing force). The combination of fast and slow, forceful and soft motions, these are the characteristics of this boxing. It includes moving like dragon, sitting like tiger, dodging like lighting and striking like thunder. Since it can gain mastery over the enemy despite late moves, it has a good practical effect. Thus, it is a must to learn Long Boxing in Taichi school.
