elementary: 4 months; intermediate: 2 months
Fuhu (subdue the tiger) Boxing is Wudang’s most valuable boxing. It is also named the Xianglong Fuhu (defeat the dragon and subdue the tiger) Boxing. It is the kungfu for the warrior monks to enhance their strength. It is a traditional pictographic boxing. It themes the arm/hand movement affiliated by the leg movement. It shows the tiger shape externally and contains the tiger spirit internally. With firm footwall and rigorous structure, it attacks speedily and accurately while defensing closely. The vivacious and strong movement is full of momentum. The special maneuvers include Daishou (bring with arm), Chongquan Fantui (punch with leg attack), Sanlianshou (three consecutive hand attacks), etc. This boxing is strong and pressing in every movement to conquer the enemy, but it is also soft and fit for defense. Apparently, this boxing looks crude but in fact it is fine with high application value. As it can improve the physical body and Qi, it is deeply loved by the kungfu practitioners..
