C8. Wudang Nourishing Life Practice – The Five Animal Movements (3 months)

The Five Animal Movements was invented by Huatuo, famous mediciner of the Three Kingdoms Era (184-280). Based on the ancient theory of Daoyin exercise, breathing, and body extension, Huatuo studied the movements of tiger, deer, bear, monkey and bird to formulate the practice that improves human being’s organ, meridians and qi-blood.

As the movement contains treatment efficacy, this differentiates Huatuo’s Five Animals Movement from other Daoyin practices remarkably.

It features the coordination of mind concentration, breathing adjustment, movements and shapes. Long-term practice can strengthen the physique, prevent illness, and prolong life.

Tiger movement: manage the liver to relax the muscles and joints.

Deer movement: manage the kidney to improve qi and waist.

Bear movement: manage the spleen and stomach to strengthen the four limbs and the muscles.

Monkey movement: manage the heart to enhance the brain.

Bird movement: manage the lungs to relax the chest and smooth the qi.
