Formed by the Chinese Martial Arts Association, The Chinese Martial Arts Grading System is stipulated by the State to appraise the kungfu skill by level. It is the highest authority recognized globally for grading kungfu as a profession, and also is the required professional qualification demanded by many martial arts organizations worldwide in recruitment.
Through moving up along the grading system, the learners would not only master more knowledge and skills of boxing and weapons, but also train their bodies scientifically.
Each boxing type has 9 appraisal levels reviewing the traditional boxing that fit for solo training, pair training and practical fighting. The examination will be in the form of practice-fighting mixture.
From Level 1 to Level 5, the examination content escalates according to the five key martial arts technical elements: punch, kick, grasp, body strike, and wrestle. Level 6 will review the comprehensive application of all the five elements.
The appraisal is based on the boxing forms defined in the Textbook Series of Chinese Martial Arts Grading (Wushu Duanwei) System.
