C12.Internal Thirteen Piles

(elementary : 3 months;intermediate:2 months)

Annotation: The saying of Wudang internal fist: pile is the foundation, while Qi is the origin. Wudang fist puts great emphasis on Wuchi and Taichi. Taichi develops into Liangyi, Liangyi into four images, and four images into eight trigrams. As the result, the Qi will flow unceasingly like River Yangtze and Yellow River. The Classics of Tao says, “Tao gives birth to a unit, one unit to two particles, two particles to three, three particles to all and everything grows endlessly.” The practice of Pile is Wuzhi, which is in line with Taoist’s sayings. If there is no unification of Wuchi and a unit, it is difficult to have the existence of the two particles. It is very unlikely to have the unceasing growth of life. The famous Qigong masters said, “Gong is generated from piles and the Qi is generated from force.” Thus, practicing piles is the foundation of the practice of various kinds of Qigong. Through the training of thirteen types of piles, the practitioners will be clear-minded and have strong endurance. Then, the Qi will generate internally, the foothold will be built and the force will be multiplied. Practicing piles helps to build a very concrete foundation for the Qigong practice.
