2 months, 8 lessons

The Five-Animal Movement was invented by Huatuo, a famous herbal medicine practitioner of the Three Kingdoms Era. Based on the ancient theory of Daoyin exercise, breathing, and body extension, Huatuo studied the movements of tiger, deer, bear, monkey and bird to formulate the practice which concerns  functions of human being’s organs, meridians and Qi-blood.  As the movement contains medical treatment, it is effective in health care and recovery from illness.  It features the coordination of mind concentration, breathing adjustment, movements and shapes. Long-term practice can strengthen the physique, prevent practitioners from illness, and prolong life. It is good for smoothing the meridians, harmonizing Qi and blood, mobilizing muscles and bones, and lubricating joints. Tiger movement manages liver to adjust Qi and relax muscles and joints. Deer movement manages kidney to improve Qi and strengthen the waist. Bear movement manages spleen and stomach to intensify the density of the four limbs and the musclesMonkey movement manages heart to stimulate wisdom. Bird movement manages lungs to relax chest and adjust Qi mechanism.
