Course Description
The Old Form 2 is also called Cannon Boxing as it places emphasize on hardness affiliated with softness. The motion is carried out at one go and the crucial features are: vibrate the legs for striking, fight and move fast, scurry and jump, bounce and rouse vivaciously. The spirit of the powerful movement looks like a monstrous snake leaving its lair, a fierce tiger springing down from the mountain, a rampant dragon getting to the sea or a mighty lion fluffing its hair. The keys of the practice are: once move, the whole body moves; coordinates internally and externally; relaxes calm and firm; leads the body with Qi; sets the waist as the axles; lead the force with arms.
This boxing is fast, forceful and fierce, which are performed by the principal actions of pulling, splitting, elbowing, body strike, and affiliated by the secondary actions of warding off and rolling back.
