– “Relaxing Exercises for Inner Boxing”
Elementary: 3 months, total 12 lessons
Course Description
Relaxing is the base of Inner Boxing, and the mandatory step to learn Taichi Boxing. Only when mind, consciousness and body relax thoroughly, meridian can then be opened and Qi-Blood can be vitalized. Relaxing is to open and smooth the suffocated meridians gradually, so that Qi-Blood circulate fluently and continuously. Inner Boxing devotes particular care to retreat before advance, which means relaxation is the base of profound fighting skills.
The progressive steps are: Relax oneself, Collect Qi to build the foundation, when the inner Qi is full and concrete, the body can move according to Yin-Yang. And then applying Taichi Push Hand to master four keys, namely, Relaxation, Emptiness, Roundness, and Agility, to reach the status of subdue hardness with softness, confront the large with small, least strength to deflect extreme force, gain mastery by striking only after the enemy has struck. Being the foundation of Taichi Push Hand, this exercise trains the techniques of uprooting a thousand pounds with four ounces, hearing of the force. Fully mastering it can help staying on top of attack and defense, and improving ability to adapt to changes in combat skills.
